I don’t want to look out of place! What’s the dress code?
Dress code is semi-formal/cocktail apparel.
What does that mean, exactly? Google isn’t being helpful!
Cocktail, mini, midi, knee length dresses, suits and suit separates, ties, wing tips and oxfords, heels and dressy flats; anything you would feel jubilant and confident in is welcome! Bright colors, bold prints, demure pastels, conservative, racy, muted, vivid…whatever makes you feel festive and excited to see and be seen is appropriate here! Dress to imbibe; dress to dance, dress to celebrate!
We do kindly ask that guests avoid denim and sneakers (unless you’re planning to swap your dress shoes for Nikes on the dance floor!), tees and terry cloth are also discouraged unless for medical/sensory accommodations.
Are children welcome?
We’re happy to share this day with your little ones! No obligation to bring them if you’re confident a wedding isn’t something they’d enjoy, or if you’d rather make this an adult date night. Furthermore, Jewish congregations and clergy are very comfortable with the sounds of children and babies (even at inopportune moments). Please do not be apprehensive if your kiddo is expressive during the ceremony!
We will have coloring books and crayons at the reception for your munchkins to use and keep. Please make sure you RSVP with ALL members of your party and their dietary needs.
I have food allergies/dietary restrictions. Will I be able to partake in the reception dinner?
We’ve included vegan and gluten free menu items in our selection as well as an array cupcakes (vegan and gluten free) by Kyra’s bakery at our dessert bar. If you do not see food options on our menu that meet your dietary needs please reach out.
Is there parking near the venue?
Yes! Paid parking is available in select lots on X corner. There is also limited street parking available with the free Parking Kitty app. Both venues are on the 77 and 15 bus lines as well as within walking distance of the MAX train. Guests are responsible for their own transportation and parking to and from the wedding and reception. The synagogue is less than 100 feet from the reception venue.

I’ve never been to a Jewish wedding, should I buy a kippah? Are there any other considerations to be made before the big day?
Non-Jews are not required to don a kippah in the synagogue or at any other time during a Reform ceremony, nor are you prohibited from doing so! We will have brand-new kippot available for anyone of any gender to wear and to keep as a memento if you’d like!
We will also be distributing programs with details about the rituals and blessings, their significance, transliterations and translations, so at no point will you be swimming in Hebrew and unsure about what’s going on.

Gifts are gratefully accepted but not required; we do however encourage all our guests to leave us words of advice, celebration and remembrance in our guest book or card box.
